Young Alex's NFL Picks Week 7

IT'S NATIONAL TIGHT END'S DAY!

9 correct last week. I'll be damned if I'm anything but consistent. I get about 60% correct, but these damn upsets.

Let's see how we do this week. Teams on the "bye" this week are The Rams, Bills, Vikings, and Eagles

Thursday Night Football: Saints at Cardinals

So until the 3rd quarter of last week's contest, TNF had gone 6 QUARTERS without a touchdown. Do you think Jeff Bezos regrets investing in the NFL yet? He may be strapping the schedule maker to his next Blue Origin Space Flight. This week should have some scoring. Saints have proven to be a tough team to beat. Arizona gets DeAndre Hopkins back from suspension. This week will test the will of Arizona. If they fall here, could we see them make the change at head coach? WINNER: Arizona

Browns at Ravens

Cleveland is like the zit that won't go away on the prom queen. Annoying, and resilient. Tough loss to a very tough defensive team in New England, and now a tough draw against a divisional opponent in Baltimore. Perennial MVP favorite Lamar Jackson has had gobs of success against the Browns. I expect much of the same this week, and if you play fantasy football, I expect Mark Andrews to have a big day. WINNER: Ravens

Bucs at Panthers

Tom Brady looks rough. Divorce? Sure. Age? Probably. Does he really want to be out there? Yet to be seen. Carolina stinks, making a shuffle at quarterback, and are looking to trade star running back Christian McCaffery. They traded Robbie Anderson this week after he got into a coach's face. Bounce Back Bucs. WINNER: Bucs

Falcons at Bengals

Atlanta pulled out a tough defensive performance against the Niners last week and Mariota looked very good. Only a couple dropped passes. Bengals started figuring it out in the Superdome last week against New Orleans. Can they turn it into consistency? To be seen. Coming back home, I think this is where Burrow and the Boys Batter the Birds. (Look at that alliteration!) WINNER: Bengals

Lions at Cowboys

Dak is back for dem boys. Prescott returns as quarterback for the Cowboys after missing time with a broken finger. The Lions were the league's number one offense before getting shut out before the bye. Here is my upset alert this week. I think the Lions surprise some people this week and win a stunner in Big D. Dak didn't look great when he did play this season before the injury. The match up to watch is the Dallas D against Detroit Offense. Grab your popcorn? WINNER: Lions

Giants at Jaguars

I refuse to believe the Giants are 5-1. They do not impress me, and neither do they Jags: and yet, then they win. So im just not going to give this game any thought. Coin Flip. WINNER: Giants

Colts at Titans

The Colts have a flair for the dramatic at home. Another last-second win this season and they wash away the stain of that ugly TNF win against the Broncos. Titans are coming off the bye, and Derrick Henry is ready to feast on that defense. Henry tends to play well against them, at least he has in the past. Im predicting the same thing this Sunday. WINNER: Titans

Packers at Commanders

Aaron Rodgers doesn't look the same, huh? Like, he has really struggled to get in any groove this season. Dare I say, he looks...Old? Ooof. Commanders had 10 days off after beating the lousy Bears. I think they'll get a boost from backup quarterback Taylor Heinecke. Packers win, but not as big of a blowout as you would think. WINNER: Packers

Jets at Broncos

Speaking of quarterbacks who look bad, It's Russell Wilson. He looks lost, missing open receivers, badly timed post-game catch phrases. The offense looks lethargic. I can't believe I'm going to say this, but Jets stomp in this one. WINNER: Jets

Houston at Raiders

Raiders get a gift off the bye in the weak Houston team. If they lose though, get the memes ready. WINNER: Raiders

Seahawks at Chargers

Seattle has impressed me with their tenacity. Geno Smith looks consistant. Do I trust him to lead a game winning drive in the final two minutes of a game? Not yet. What I am ready to declare: Seattle won the Russel Wilson trade. Los Angeles need to get the team in the right gear before their playoff aspirations fade away. Could be a great game. WINNER: Chargers

Chiefs at 49ers

Super Bowl Rematch. I think it plays out the same as that February night. Jimmy G and team are getting some key members of the team back from injury. I just can't bet against Pat Mahomes at this stage of the season. If the Niners front 4 can generate some pressure and force mistakes from Mahomes, there's a chance. I don't trust the Niners offense to keep up with that offensive juggernaut. WINNER: Chiefs

Sunday Night Football: Steelers at Dolphins

The Fins get Tua back from that scary concussion weeks ago. Steelers come in off a BIG win against Tom Brady and the Bucs. This is a genuine toss up. I think the Dolphins get back on the winning side if Tua looks healthy. If not? Steelers steal one in South Beach. Look for the pass game to feature heavy. WINNER: Dolphins

Monday Night Football: Bears at Patriots

WHO IS KEEPS PUTTING BAD TEAMS IN PRIME TIME. I DO NOT WANT TO SEE ANY MORE OF CHICAGO OR DENVER IN PRIME TIME.

Patriots by 50

WINNER: Patriots
