A koala snuck into a train station in Australia last week, strolling dangerously close to the track just ahead of the morning rush. The Transport for New South Wales released surveillance footage of the koala wandering around the Casula station in Sydney on Friday (October 4) morning.
Officials said the koala was able to squeeze through a fence to gain entrance to the station. It then crossed the yellow line, which is meant as a warning to passengers to stay away from the track, and scampered along the edge of the platform.
Authorities ordered any trains that passed through to the station to slow down to avoid hitting the marsupial.
At one point, the koala ran into an amused passenger who snapped a photo of it before it ran away.
The police were called to the station and followed the koala down the platform steps. They watched as it returned to the safety of the nearby brush.
